Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stone Manufacturing Head to lead and manage our

cabochon and cut stone manufacturing division. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in

semi-precious stones, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in overseeing end-to-end

manufacturing processes including rough planning, slicing, shaping, polishing, and faceting. The candidate

will be responsible for quality control, team supervision, process optimization, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee complete manufacturing operations for cabochon and cut stones using semi-precious gemstones.

- Ensure adherence to quality, design specifications, and production timelines.

- Supervise daily operations across stages such as rough assortment, slicing, shaping, ghat, dhol, kinara MM,

MM, polishing, and faceting.

- Allocate resources and workforce effectively to meet production targets.

- Maintain strict quality control and inspect finished stones for consistency in cut, clarity, and polish.

- Maintain accurate production data and generate reports on output, wastage, defects, and manpower

efficiency.

- Collaborate with procurement and design teams to ensure alignment on stone quality, yield, and finishing

standards.

- Train and mentor workers to improve skills and productivity.

- Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce wastage.

- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.

Key Requirements

- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in stone manufacturing, especially semi-precious stones.

- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes for cabochon and cut stones.

- Proven ability to manage and lead a team in a factory environment.

- Strong understanding of grading, cutting, polishing, and handling various types of stones.

- Proficient in using manufacturing reports, daily production logs, and quality assessment sheets.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Strong communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma/Degree in Gemology or related field (preferred but not mandatory).

- Exposure to modern stone-cutting machinery and techniques (e.g., Israel faceting machines).

- Ability to communicate in Hindi and English (regional language is a plus).
